Farm Story - Part I.

Farm Story - Part I.

FARM STORY – PART I.

We had a big Leaders change in the summer of 2016 and for this reason we assessed the opportunities and our own possibilities. Unfortunately we had to come to the conclusion that our dream of our own farm can not be financed for a long time, and the kennels we were renting was unsustainable. However, we wanted to move forward. It was not a simple decision to leave the well functioning site over the past 10 years. On the other hand the qualitative change that the new farm dream could have mean for our dogs, worthed all the energy and time what we spent on it.

We have found the place what is really good for our dogs, protecting them from weather conditions and it is also ideal place for our visitors and supporters to spend time with us and our dogs.

Well-accessible periphery area. It is fenced, soundproofed, thick walled closed stable, surrounded by soundproof plants.

Before starting the transformations, we visited the local and district authorities, and the National Public Health and Medical Officer Service (NPHMOS), to comply with our reporting obligation to notify and to get all information for our safe operation.

After each authority has ensured us that because of the classification of the site and on the basis of our existing documents there is no obstacle to our operation. So we started the makeover and as the work progressed, we gradually moved our dogs. Unfortunately, this winter weather did not favor us, therefore the deadlines could not be kept as we planned which cause us great difficulties.

When we made our declaration the Supervision of the Public area of Piliscsaba Council the drew our attention to the fact that we can not do pounding works, dogs can not be collected from the street (because of this there is a conflict with another local animal protection company). We have said that we do not have the authority of that, but we will certainly not leave a dog on the roadside.

Finally, the District Office issued an official certificate of the classification of the real estate in the general agricultural construction zone, which means that livestocking and livestock breeding can be continued in this area.

After the hard winter’s reliefing, we began  intensify the physical work, and after completing all the administrative tasks we launched our application for our registration at the District Office of Érd on the 14th of February.

As the stable makeover was finished and the dog run was completed, more and more people began to come out to our new farm from both the narrower and the broader supporters.

The President of our Association got the information that a member of Garancstető Advocacy Associtaion were supposed to have a lot of complainmants about our moving there. On the 9th of March, our Association contacted the competent lady by phone.

Note: So far, two emails were sent to the Association by the residents. One of them was completely frivolous in both tone and subject but in spite of this still received a nice response. The other email was written by the later reporter. She communicated politely and kindly, and we also sent her our polite and kind reply, where we answered all her questions about our Association and also we invited her to the farm.

This lady said in the phone that some residents complained of our existance here,  afraid of strangers, and they thinks that our dogs are loud. The President of our Association asked her what compromise we could find in order to live peacefully side by side. The lady said that one of their best compromise deals for us could be to leave and the other to put electric collar on the barking dogs. So we did not really get a compromise solution. The President of our Association tried to convince this lady that the property is a livestock estate, and our dogs are much less distracting, as if we were keeping goats or pigs (the lady thinks it would be better to keep goats and pigs).

Our Association have been threatened already then, indicating that two lawyers are working on “our case” and so far their Association has achieved everything they wanted. For example, “they have already refined areas …” so even our peryphery can be refined to urban land.

Despite this not really friendly atmosphere, the President of our Association promised that if we finally managed to settle in, we will organise an open day where we would like to invite the residents of the area, but we asked for patience as people will invite guests at their home when it is ready.

They did not wait for any longer, and our next information was that they asked for a public hearing on the 22nd of March. They were forgotten to invite us, but finally our lawyer represented the Association at this hearing.

Our lawyer tried to initiate a friendly conversation with the parties of the Garancstető Advocacy Associtaion on the spot, but they replied with agression and attack to our lawyer’s approaches and questions.

The colleague of the Council who was appointed by the Notary separately listened the opinions of both parties patiently and comprehensively. (We have never seen a report of these hearing, despite we asked for it for a few times.)

Despite all of this, the Property protaction Application was submit on the 23rd of March in 2017.
